“Meet Your Advisor” is a program designed to introduce new SMSU students to their academic advisor. The program takes place during Gold Rush Days before the fall semester begins. During “Meet Your Advisor,” students are given the opportunity to learn more about the intricacies of their major and also meet other students in their major. All new students, both first-year and transfer, are strongly encouraged to attend this event as it builds a foundation between students and their academic advisor that will be developed throughout their time here at SMSU.
This year’s program will be taking place from 11:05am-12:15pm on Friday, August 19 after the completion of Convocation.
Students majoring in a program from:
- Business Innovation and Strategy will report to CH 217.
- Education will report to IL 224.
- Agriculture will report to CH 219.
- Culinology or Hospitality Management will report to IL 116.
- Fine Arts & Communication will report to FA 201.
- English, Philosophy, Spanish & Humanities will report to BA 235.
- Social Science will report to SS 230.
- Mathematics & Computer Science will report to SM 274.
- Science will report to BA 102.
Students who are Undeclared in their major or pursuing their AA Liberal Arts degree will report to CH201.
Students who are part of the PSEO program will report to CH201.
